Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings for copper-clad aluminum flat bars and flat wires produced by continuous casting and rolling, as well as their packaging, transportation, storage, and quality certificates and order forms (or contracts).
This standard applies to copper-clad aluminum flat bars and flat wires (hereinafter referred to as "flat bars and flat wires") used in fields such as power transmission, substation construction, and power distribution.
When using the products specified in this standard in highly corrosive environments (such as marine environments, chemical electrolyte environments), dirty environments, high-altitude areas, or extremely cold regions, special treatments such as corrosion prevention and protection should be applied to the exposed surfaces.
