GB/T 17466.1-2019 Boxes and enclosures for electrical accessories for household and similar fixed electrical installations—Part 1:General requirements

Scope

This part of GB/T 17466 specifies the technical requirements for electrical accessories installation boxes and enclosures of fixed electrical devices for household and similar purposes, including marking, protection against electric shock, structural requirements, mechanical performance, and electrical performance.
This part applies to electrical accessories installation boxes, enclosures, or enclosure components (hereinafter collectively referred to as "installation boxes" and "enclosures") of fixed electrical devices for household and similar purposes used indoors or outdoors with a rated voltage not exceeding 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC.
Installation boxes and enclosures complying with this part are suitable for use in environments with an ambient temperature not exceeding 40 °C, but with an average temperature not exceeding 35 °C within 24 hours, and a minimum ambient air temperature of -5 °C.
The scope of application of this part includes electrical accessories installation boxes and enclosures for household circuit breakers and similar equipment (corresponding to IEC/SC 23E) in the National Electrical Accessories Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 67) and the National Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 189).
This part can also be used as a reference document for other standardization technical committees and subcommittees.
Installation boxes and enclosures that are an integral part of electrical accessories and can protect them against external influences (such as mechanical impact, solid objects or water ingress) are applicable to the relevant standard requirements of these electrical accessories.
This part does not apply to:
