GB/T 30661.11-2024 Wheelchair seating—Part 11:Determination of dissipation characteristics of sensible perspiration into seat cushions
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a method for measuring the perspiration dissipation characteristics of wheelchair seat cushions under simulated human body contour support surface load conditions. This test method is suitable for various seat cushion materials and structures.
The purpose of this test method is to determine how the seat cushion handles liquid loads. This method is not intended to determine how the seat cushion responds to the continuous release of liquids or steam.
This document also describes the method used to measure the perspiration dissipation characteristics of seat cushions and the measurement equipment.
This document is applicable to seat cushions equipped with seat cushion covers.
Note: The perspiration dissipation performance of seat cushions can be greatly influenced by the clothing worn. For example, seat cushions made of moisture-absorbent materials will not help the skin condition of patients sitting in wet adult diapers.
