GB/T 45305.3-2026 Acoustics—Laboratory measurement of sound insulation of building elements—Part 3:Measurement of impact sound insulation

Scope

This document describes a laboratory method for measuring the impact sound insulation performance of floor elements using sound pressure measurement.
The measurement results are used for comparing and grading the impact sound insulation performance of floors, which helps in designing building products with certain sound insulation performance and estimating the on-site sound insulation performance of completed buildings.
The measurements in this document are conducted in laboratory test facilities where lateral sound transmission is suppressed. The measurement results are not directly applicable to on-site conditions, as other factors that affect sound insulation in the field, such as lateral sound transmission, boundary conditions, and loss factors, are not considered.
This document specifies a test method using a standard impactor (see Appendix E of GB/T 45305.5–2026) as the impact source, which simulates the footsteps of a person wearing shoes. This document also provides a test method for alternative impact sources, namely using modified impactors or heavy and soft impact sources (see Appendix F of GB/T 45305.5–2026) to simulate impacts with strong low-frequency components, such as those from barefoot walking or children jumping.
This document is applicable to measuring all types of floor elements, whether they are heavy or lightweight floors, as well as floors with various floor coverings. The measurement method specified in this document is only applicable to laboratory measurements.
