Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the saponification value of animal and vegetable oils and fats. This standard applies to refined animal and vegetable oils and fats, as well as crude animal and vegetable oils and fats. This standard does not apply to products containing inorganic acids, unless the inorganic acids can be measured separately.
