Scope

This part of GB/T 3480 includes contact stress and tooth root bending stress, and gives the fatigue limit values.
This part specifies the material quality and heat treatment process, and introduces the influence of materials and processes on the two limit stress values.
The data in this part are applicable to the calculations in ISO 63362 and ISO 63363, and are suitable for industrial gears, high-speed and marine gears, as well as for the calculation of the bearing capacity of bevel gears.
The data in this part can be used in various gears, reference racks, gear tooth size determination and design processes in the above-mentioned standards, and the results are consistent with other various methods listed in the scope of application of ISO 63361.
