Scope

This standard specifies the static test methods and acceptance technical conditions for protective devices of agricultural and forestry tractors. This standard applies to wheeled tractors or tracked tractors with a unladen mass of not less than 600 kg, a mass ratio of not more than 1.75, a minimum wheelbase of the rear wheels of more than 1,150 mm, and at least two axles equipped with pneumatic tires. This standard does not apply to the following types of tractors: lawn mowers, narrow-wheel tractors for vineyards, low-profile tractors for buildings or orchards with limited overhead space, elevated (high ground clearance) tractors, and certain special forestry machinery (such as logging tractors).
