Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of lightweight physically strengthened glass. This standard applies to lightweight physically strengthened glass with a thickness of greater than or equal to 1.3 mm and less than 3 mm. Lightweight physically strengthened glass with a thickness of less than 1.3 mm can be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to chemically strengthened glass.
