Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, completeness of supply, and quality assurance for standardized relay protection devices (hereinafter referred to as "devices") within substations with voltage levels of 10 kV to 35 kV. This standard applies to microcomputer-based relay protection devices and safety automatic devices for electrical equipment such as lines, sectioning (bus-tie), station transformers, grounding transformers, capacitors, and reactors within substations with voltage levels of 10 kV to 35 kV, serving as a basis for the design, manufacture, testing, and operation of such devices. Similar devices installed in other locations may be implemented with reference to this standard.
