Scope

This part of GB/T 14598 specifies the general rules and requirements for measuring relays and protection devices, as well as power system protection solutions composed of these devices, such as control, monitoring, and process interface equipment, to ensure that their requirements and tests are consistent.
This part applies to all measuring relays and protection devices used for power system protection. If there are special provisions in other standards of this series, they should be used preferentially.
For special usage environments (such as navigation, aerospace, explosive environments, computers, etc.), additional special requirements should be formulated on the basis of the general requirements specified in this part.
This requirement only applies to new measuring relays and protection devices. Unless otherwise specified, all tests specified in this part are type tests.
