This document describes the test method for measuring the fracture toughness of fine ceramic materials at room temperature using the single-sided pre-crack beam method.
This document is suitable for testing isotropic continuous homogeneous block ceramics and various whisker-reinforced and particle-reinforced ceramic matrix composites, but it is not suitable for testing non-isotropic continuous homogeneous materials.
