Scope: Chapter 1 of GB/T 2099.1-2008 is replaced by the following: This standard applies to travel-use AC converters with a rated voltage of more than 50V but not exceeding 250V, a rated current of not more than 16A, and with or without grounding plugs. Note 1: In the following countries, it is not allowed to use converters without protective doors: Belgium (BE), China (CN), Denmark (DK), Spain (ES), France (FR), Italy (IT), Norway (NO), Malaysia (MY), Portugal (PT), Sweden (SE), Singapore (SG), the United Kingdom (GB), and South Africa (ZA). Note 2: In the following countries, converters with an IP rating lower than IPX4 should be equipped with protective doors: Finland (FI).
