Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification specifications and markings, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of polyester filament for sewing threads.
This standard applies to polyester filament for sewing threads with a linear density of 33 dtex to 1,111 dtex, a single filament linear density of 1.5 dtex to 6.0 dtex, a circular cross-section, glossy or semi-matt finish, and in natural color. Other types of polyester filament for sewing threads can be used as a reference.
