Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the tensile shear strength of vulcanized rubber bonded to metal.
This standard applies to shear specimens prepared under specified conditions, in which rubber is bonded to two parallel metal sheets. The rubber and metal may be vulcanized and bonded, or vulcanized rubber may be bonded with an adhesive.
