Scope
This standard specifies the safety performance requirements for all-vanadium flow battery systems (hereinafter referred to as battery systems) to ensure that the battery systems operate safely during normal use and under reasonable and foreseeable misuse conditions. This standard applies to battery systems used in indoor or outdoor areas that are not hazardous (not classified as dangerous). The hazardous situations specified in this standard are limited to potential harm to human health or potential damage to areas outside the battery system. The hazardous situations specified in this standard do not include harm to the battery system itself.
