GB/T 15566的本部分规定了公共交通车站公共信息导向系统（以下简称公共交通车站导向系统)的总体构成、设置原则、两个子系统构成以及不同导向系统间衔接的要求。
本部分适用于城市轨道交通和公共汽车（含无轨电车)车站导向系统的设置。
注1: 本部分中的城市轨道交通包含城市内的地铁、轻轨等，不包含有轨电车。
