Scope

This document specifies the normal and special operating conditions, rated values, design and structure, inspection rules, information provided during inquiry, bidding, and ordering, transportation, storage, installation, operation, and maintenance rules, safety, and environmental impact of current transformers used in rail transit. It also describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to AC current transformers with an operating frequency of 50 Hz and rated voltages of 27.5 kV and 55 kV. Note: Current transformers are mainly used in measurement devices and protection equipment. Application guidelines for measurement, control, and protection devices are provided in Appendix B, and typical test principles for AC traction power supply system feeders are described in Appendix C.
