Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the economical operation of general-purpose volumetric air compressor systems driven by AC motors, as well as the methods for identifying and evaluating their performance, testing methods, and measures for improvement and assessment.
This standard applies to the operation of general-purpose volumetric air compressor systems driven by AC motors with a rated exhaust pressure of less than or equal to 1.4 MPa that are currently in use. The design of modified, expanded, and newly built volumetric air compressor systems can be implemented with reference to this standard.
