Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for krypton gas, test methods, and packaging, marking, storage, transportation, and safety. This standard applies to gaseous krypton extracted from air by cryogenic methods. It is mainly used in the electron vacuum and electric light source industries, as well as in lasers, medical and health fields. Krypton gas is a colorless, odorless, and inert gas. Molecular formula: Kr. Relative molecular mass: 83.798 (based on the 2001 International Relative Atomic Mass).
