Scope

This section specifies the determination methods for liquid oxygen, liquid air, intake air, and hydrocarbons in liquid oxygen tanks in air separation processes. This section is applicable to the online monitoring and offline detection of total hydrocarbons and C1–C4 hydrocarbons in oxygen or air.
The C1–C4 hydrocarbons determined in this section include: methane, ethane, ethylene, acetylene, propane, propylene, n-butane, isobutane, and 1,3-butadiene.
This section recommends the determination of these components, but it is not limited to these components. During specific monitoring, a reasonable analysis of the surrounding environment of the air separation device should be conducted, and the monitoring of other organic components in air and oxygen that may endanger the safe operation of the air separation device should be increased.
