GB/T 5169.29-2020 Fire hazard testing for electric and electronic products—Part 29:Heat release—General guidance

Scope

This part of GB/T 5169 provides guidelines for the measurement and description of heat release of electrical and electronic products and their constituent materials.
As described in IEC 60695-1-11[2] and IEC 60695-1-12[3], heat release data can be used as part of the assessment of fire hazards and fire safety engineering.
This part is intended for use by product committees when preparing standards in accordance with the principles set out in IEC Guide 104 and ISO/IEC Guide 51.
One of the tasks of product committees is to use this series of standards wherever applicable when preparing their own standards. Unless the relevant standards specifically mention or list non-applicability, the requirements, test methods, or test conditions of this part are applicable.
