Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the manganese content in rubber by atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of manganese content in raw rubber, compounded rubber, and vulcanized rubber with a manganese content of not less than 0.5 mg/kg. For samples with a manganese content of less than 0.5 mg/kg, the determination can also be carried out by adjusting the sample mass or the concentration of the reagent solution, or by using the standard addition method.
