Scope

This standard specifies two methods for evaluating whether rubber or plastic hoses can maintain sufficient flexibility at temperatures below the ambient temperature.
Method A is suitable for non-foldable hoses with a nominal inner diameter of less than or equal to 25 mm. It measures the increase in stiffness compared to flexibility at standard laboratory temperatures.
Method B is a simpler qualitative method for control testing, suitable for hoses with a nominal inner diameter of less than or equal to 100 mm.
