Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for low-elastic polyester filament yarns produced on islands using alkali-soluble polyethylene terephthalate as the sea phase and polyethylene terephthalate as the island phase. The total linear density ranges from 55.6 dtex to 333.3 dtex, and the single filament linear density after unraveling ranges from 0.03 dtex to 0.38 dtex. The filament yarns are circular in cross-section, semi-matt, and fully-matt. The filament yarns mixed with high-shrinkage polyester drawn filament yarns are also included. Other types of low-elastic polyester filament yarns can be used as reference.
