Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for polyethylene terephthalate (PTT) staple fibers (hereinafter referred to as PTT staple fibers).
This standard applies to semi-matt, natural color, round-section PTT staple fibers with a nominal linear density of 1.67 dtex to 3.33 dtex, an average length of less than or equal to 110 mm, and directly stapled PTT staple fibers. Other types of PTT staple fibers can be used as reference.
