Scope
This document describes a method for determining the content of seaweed fibers in a mixture of seaweed fibers and certain other fibers after removing non-fiber substances by chemical analysis. This document is applicable to mixtures of seaweed fibers and cotton, hemp, cupro, viscose, modal, lyocell, polyacrylonitrile, polyester, polyamide, spandex, silk, wool, cashmere, acetate, triacetate, or polylactic acid fibers. Note: The qualitative identification method for seaweed fibers is described in Appendix A.
