Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the static bonding strength between fabric cords for tires and vulcanized rubber. This standard is applicable to cords made from natural fibers or synthetic fibers.
The bonding strength measured by this method is largely influenced by the historical condition of the cords and the preparation process of the rubber compound. However, the data provided by this method can be used as a basis for judging the quality of the materials used.
This standard is also applicable to similar cords with a linear density of no more than 800 mg/m (tex) used in other vulcanized rubber products.
