GB/T 28704-2012 Non-destructive testing—Test method for ultrasonic guided wave testing based on magnetostrictive effects
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies a magnetic-induced stretch ultrasonic wave detection method for quickly detecting section loss in components.
This standard is applicable to the detection of surface and internal defects in components such as tubes with a temperature range of -20 ℃ to 550 ℃, a diameter of 10 mm to 1,000 mm, and a wall thickness of 0.5 mm to 80 mm; rods with a diameter of 10 mm to 80 mm; and bundles with a diameter of 10 mm to 185 mm. If all parties to the contract agree, it can also be applied to the detection of butt welds of the above-mentioned components or other components.
This standard does not establish evaluation criteria. Specific criteria shall be determined through consultation among all parties to the contract.
This standard does not fully provide safety requirements for conducting the detection. It is the obligation of all parties using this standard to establish appropriate safety and protection guidelines before conducting the detection.
