Scope
This standard specifies the light radiation safety classification, measurement, and evaluation methods for semiconductor lighting devices and systems. This standard applies to the inspection and acceptance of semiconductor lighting devices and systems (hereinafter referred to as LED lighting systems) with a main emission wavelength range of 380 nm to 780 nm. This standard does not apply to special LED lighting systems such as those for infants and young children, medical purposes, and automotive headlights.
