Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, testing, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for ACQ (ammonium quaternary ammonium salt) wood preservatives. This standard applies to water-based composite wood preservatives prepared from non-water-soluble divalent copper compounds and quaternary ammonium salts in ammonium (ammonia) solutions. ACQ wood preservatives are suitable for treating construction materials, landscape materials, mining-used timber, and other timber in contact with soil and freshwater to achieve the purpose of preservation and protection against pests (ants).
