Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 28827 provides a model for the capability of operation and maintenance services, and stipulates the conditions and capabilities that operation and maintenance service organizations should possess in terms of personnel, resources, technology, and processes.
This part is applicable to:
a) Organizations planning to provide operation and maintenance services to establish an operation and maintenance service capability system;
b) Operation and maintenance service providers assessing their own conditions and capabilities;
c) Operation and maintenance service clients evaluating and selecting operation and maintenance service providers;
d) Third-party organizations evaluating and certifying the capabilities of operation and maintenance service organizations.
Since in most cases, operation and maintenance and operation are two concurrent activities, and operation and maintenance provides a guarantee for operation. Therefore, this part is also applicable to organizations providing operation services to establish an operation service capability system and evaluate and improve their own operation and maintenance service capabilities.
This part is not applicable to the operation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure and telecommunications business systems.
