Scope

This document specifies the test and acceptance standards for the ejection of debris from flail-type lawn mowers used in agricultural machinery.
This document applies to flail-type lawn mowers, as exemplified in Appendix A, Section A.1.
This document does not apply to the following models (examples are provided in Appendix A, Section A.2):
— Large rotary lawn mowers;
— Rotary lawn mowers;
— Lawn mowers equipped with articulated arms;
— Lawn mowers with one or more vertical shafts designed for mulching;
— Walk-behind electric lawn mowers;
— Horticultural lawn mowers;
— Inter-row mowing units;
— Flail-type lawn mowers designed solely for highway and road maintenance;
— Flail-type lawn mowers with rear openings for specific field operations (e.g., straw returning machines).
Note 1: If the lawn mower can also be used for non-agricultural applications, it must meet the requirements of this document in addition to other ejection test requirements.
Note 2: The test and acceptance standards for the ejection of debris from rotary lawn mowers are specified in GB/T 25396.1.
