GB/T 3098.9-2020 Mechanical properties of fasteners—Prevailing torque type steel nuts

Scope

This part of GB/T 3098 specifies the functional characteristics of effective torque steel locking nuts when conducting tests under an ambient temperature of 10℃ to 35℃. It includes a combination test method to simultaneously determine the effective torque characteristics and the torque-clamping force characteristics.
This part applies to effective torque all-metal locking nuts and non-metallic insert locking nuts that meet the following requirements:
—— Comply with the ordinary thread specified in GB/T 192;
—— Comply with the diameter and pitch combination specified in GB/T 193 and GB/T 9144;
—— Thread specifications of M5 to M39, coarse thread, with a nominal thread diameter of d=8 mm to 39 mm, and fine thread;
—— Comply with the thread tolerance specified in GB/T 9145;
—— Mechanical properties comply with GB/T 3098.2.
The effective torque values specified in this part are all based on laboratory conditions.
