GB/T 3098的本部分规定了不锈钢和镍合金紧固件选用指南，并提供了有关不锈钢和镍合金及其性能的技术信息，这些信息对其他不锈钢紧固件机械性能标准的使用很重要。本部分包括适用于紧固件制造的耐腐蚀不锈钢和镍合金的技术条件。
本部分适用于奥氏体不锈钢、马氏体不锈钢、铁素体不锈钢和双相(奥氏体-铁素体)不锈钢以及镍合金紧固件。
