Scope

This standard specifies the measurement requirements, measurement testing procedures, measurement testing methods, evaluation criteria for measurement test results, and inspection reports for the energy efficiency of household gas-fired instantaneous water heaters (including condensing household gas-fired instantaneous water heaters, hereinafter referred to as "gas water heaters") and gas heating water heaters (including condensing gas heating water heaters for bathing and heating, hereinafter referred to as "gas heating water heaters") that use only gas as an energy source with a rated heat load not exceeding 70 kW.
This standard applies to the supervision and testing of the energy efficiency of gas water heaters and gas heating water heaters. Units entrusting testing can refer to this standard for guidance. Units producing and selling gas water heaters and gas heating water heaters can also refer to this standard for testing.
This standard does not apply to gas volume-type water heaters.
The gas referred to in this standard shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 13611.
The gas water heaters and gas heating water heaters accepted for testing shall be products that have passed the manufacturer's self-inspection, or goods imported and sold by the seller.
