Scope

This part of GB/T 14048 specifies the specific requirements for the electrical and mechanical structure and testing of emergency brake devices with mechanical latching functions.
This part applies to electrical control circuits and switching elements that send emergency brake signals. These electrical devices may come with their own casings, or they may be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
This part does not apply to:
——Emergency brake devices used in non-electrical control loops (such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems);
——Emergency brake devices without mechanical latching functions.
Emergency brake devices can also be used to provide emergency shutdown functions.
Since the noise generated by electrical emergency brake devices with mechanical latching functions does not pose a relevant risk, this part does not address any specific requirements regarding noise.
