Scope

This document specifies the operating conditions, switch characteristics, structural and performance requirements, information and marking, and inspection rules for outdoor DC disconnect switches, load switches, and earthing switches in traction power supply systems. It also describes the relevant test methods. This document is applicable to the selection and inspection of outdoor DC disconnect switches, load switches, and earthing switches in traction power supply systems. This document is not applicable to complete switch equipment, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, or reliability requirements. Note 1: The requirements for complete switch equipment, EMC, and reliability are specified in other parts of GB/T 25890. Note 2: In this document, "switches" refer to "DC disconnect switches, load switches, or earthing switches" as defined in GB/T 25890.1–2026, Sections 3.1.5, 3.1.6, and 3.1.7.
