GB/T 14098-2020 Turbines and turbine sets—Measurement of emitted airborne noise—Engineering/survey method

Scope

This standard specifies the measurement methods for noise emissions from gas turbine units and steam turbine units under stable operating conditions. It prescribes the measurement methods for the sound pressure level of the measurement surface of the enveloping sound source and the calculation method for the sound power level generated by the sound source. This standard stipulates the requirements for the measurement environment and instruments, as well as the techniques for obtaining the sound pressure level of the measurement surface. The A-weighted sound power level and the octave or 1/3 octave sound power level of the sound source are calculated based on the sound pressure level of the measurement surface. These methods can be used for performance testing, even if the purpose of the test is simply to determine the sound pressure level around the machine. This standard applies to gas turbine units and steam turbine units used in the following environments: -- Power plants and industrial applications (such as fixed installations); -- Shipboard or offshore applications, road and rail vehicle applications. This standard does not apply to gas turbines in aviation applications. This standard only applies to gas turbine units and steam turbine units (gas turbines, steam turbines, and their driving equipment and auxiliary equipment) located above the platform and within the continuous enveloping measurement surface bounded by the platform. This standard applies to stable operating conditions and does not include transient operations such as start-up and shutdown, during which noise emissions may be temporarily high.
