GB/T 20674.4-2020 Plastics pipes and fittings—Equipment for fusion jointing polyethylene systems—Part 4:Traceability coding

Scope

This part of GB/T 20764 specifies the terms and definitions, coding system design, information encoding, and data carriers for traceable coding used in welding equipment for polyethylene (PE) piping systems.
This part, together with other parts of GB/T 20764, applies to the traceability of welding equipment for polyethylene piping systems used for gas/water supply. The codes are identified and read by letters or numbers, such as barcodes, etc.
This part also applies to the welding of pipes, fittings, and valves in polyethylene gas/water supply piping systems, as well as their assemblies. For example: heat fusion butt welding, heat fusion socket-and-spigot connections, or heat fusion saddle connections using welding tools; electric fusion connections (sockets and saddles); induction welding; and mechanical connections, etc.
