Scope

This part of GB/T 20674 specifies the terms and definitions, data carriers, and data encoding for the operator code of fusion welding equipment for polyethylene (PE) piping systems.
This part, together with other parts of GB/T 20674, is applicable to fusion welding equipment and operators for gas/water supply polyethylene piping systems.
Note: When the fusion welding equipment is used for pre-assembling and connecting gas/water supply components (such as valves, steel-plastic converters, etc.) or for connecting nuclear power pipes, PE-RT pipes for cold and hot water, industrial pipes, composite pipes, etc., it shall be agreed upon by both the supplier and the user.
