Scope

This document specifies the lightning current and lightning overvoltage of low-voltage distribution lines and electronic systems, insulation coordination and insulation levels, insulation tests and their requirements, and the selection and application of lightning protection measures. This document is applicable to low-voltage distribution lines and electronic systems with an AC rated voltage of not more than 1,000 V and a DC rated voltage of not more than 1,500 V.
