Scope

This part of GB/T 33588 specifies the requirements and test methods for lightning strike counters. Lightning strike counters are installed on the conductors of a certain part of the lightning protection device or the connecting conductors of surge protection devices (SPDs), and the lightning current flowing through these conductors is only a part of the total lightning current.
Note: Lightning strike counters are also suitable for use in hazardous environments. Components installed under such conditions should take into account the necessary additional requirements.
