Scope
This standard applies to the functional requirements of single- and three-phase installed active energy meters (hereinafter referred to as meters) with a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz for type evaluation.
This standard does not apply to meters with a nominal voltage exceeding 600 V (for multi-phase meters, it refers to the voltage between two phases), meters used to connect electronic transformers (GB/T 20840.8-2007), meters used to connect low-voltage current sensors (IEC 61869-10:2017), portable meters, standard energy meters, and data interfaces of meter registers.
