Scope
This document specifies the particle size distribution limits and chemical composition of four grades of test dust made from Arizona desert sand and two grades of test dust from the BF silica oxide series. This document is applicable to the performance determination of filters for road vehicles, as well as the performance determination of filters for general-purpose internal combustion engines and the wear study of components such as bearings and seals. This document is not applicable to the calibration of particle counters. For such needs, please refer to GB/T 18854.
