Scope

This document describes the on-site measurement method, testing equipment, measurement steps, measurement locations, result expression, and test report content for determining the impact sound insulation performance of rooms by striking the floorboards or stairs of buildings with an impact source and measuring the sound pressure level.
This document is applicable to the measurement of impact sound insulation performance in rooms with a volume of 10 m3 to 250 m3 within the frequency range of 50 Hz to 5,000 Hz. The measurement results are suitable for quantifying, evaluating, and comparing the impact sound insulation performance of rooms, regardless of whether there are furnishings in the room or whether it is a diffuse sound field.
