Scope
This document specifies the classification, requirements, inspection rules, marking, labeling or user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage of molded polystyrene foam (EPS) for insulation, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to the production, inspection, and sale of molded polystyrene foam for insulation with a closed-cell structure, manufactured from pre-foamed expandable polystyrene beads heated and molded in a mold, and its cut products, with a use temperature not exceeding 75°C.
This document also applies to the production, inspection, and sale of molded polystyrene foam for insulation modified by adding additives such as graphite, and its cut products.
