Scope

This document specifies the method of determining the calcination loss in iron ore by the moisture absorption weight correction method.
This document is applicable to natural iron ore, iron concentrate, and artificial lump iron ore, with a measurement range (mass fraction): 1.0%~10.0%.
The following situations are not applicable to this document:
a) Processed iron ore containing metallic iron (directly reduced iron);
b) Natural or processed iron ore with a sulfur content exceeding 0.2%;
c) Natural or processed iron ore with a ferric oxide content exceeding 1.0% (mass fraction).
