This part of TD/T 1043 stipulates the content, procedures, and engineering technical standards of planning, design, construction, management, and monitoring of sub-drainage systems for improving saline-alkaline soils, as well as the determination methods of technical parameters.
This part is applicable to the planning, design, construction, and acceptance of sub-drainage systems for improving saline-alkaline soils in northern China, as well as to the prevention of waterlogging and removal of stains in farmland sub-drainage projects. Under the condition of improving soil permeability, this part can guide the improvement and utilization of alkalized soils by applying sub-drainage systems for alkali reduction.

This standard applies to the delineation of basic farmland carried out in accordance with the overall land use planning, as well as the supplementary delineation work for basic farmland that is occupied by construction projects approved in accordance with the law during the implementation of the overall land use planning, or for basic farmland that is reduced due to other reasons determined in accordance with the law.
