Scope
This standard specifies the types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, and transportation of marine water-source heat pump air conditioning units (hereinafter referred to as air conditioning units).
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of air conditioning units on ships and offshore platforms that use seawater or freshwater from the ship's central cooling water system as a cold (hot) source and employ a vapor compression refrigeration cycle to cool or heat the air. Heat pump air conditioning units installed on offshore platforms can be used as a reference.
