Basic Information
Scope
This part specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage of electric motor-driven cold water (heat pump) units (hereinafter referred to as "units") that use a vapor compression refrigeration cycle for industrial or commercial and similar applications. This part applies to units with a cooling capacity of more than 50kW for centralized air conditioning or process cooling water, and also to units that dissolve chemical agents in water as a refrigerant (heat) to prevent freezing caused by low outdoor temperatures. Units driven by engines (diesel engines or gas engines) or turbine engines (steam turbines or gas turbines) can be referenced for implementation. This part does not apply to drinking water, beverages, and industrial-specific units that do not use water as a refrigerant (heat) agent.
